I Can't Get Away From Bad Food!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

On Saturday I stopped at Kroger to pick up some dishwasher soap.  While waiting in the checkout line I'm forced to stare at king size candy bars, just sitting there, taunting me.  On Sunday afternoon I went to a party of a church group.  The main course was grilled chicken strips in tortillas that you could add your own veggies to.  OK, no problem.  The problem was that lots of people brought cakes, cookies, and other deserts.  I stood firm and passed on all of them.  This morning I come in and a co-worker has brought multiple pies, cupcakes, and a pound cake left over from a party.  Granted, she did ask if it would bother me.  I stood firm and didn't have any of it.  I go to lunch and there's a row of pizza boxes sitting out on the "for everyone" table.  I make a quick right turn into the kitchen and right next to the bananas is a bowl of doughnut holes with a "for everyone" sign.  I ate my packed lunch but nothing else.

IS THE WORLD OUT TO GET ME???????

  2. Yes, way to go! Sometimes I feel like the world is out to get me too. It feels like every time I have the momentum, something comes up - a party, someone's birthday or some special occasion (like pizza on the "for everyone" table). I think the truth is that it will always be there. There will always be an occasion or something special going on but that is not really an excuse; that's just every day. So way to stand strong and resist those temptations!

  3. Hang tough Dave. I'm sure that the donuts and pizza had soap added to them.

The worst for me is when I have to see and smell it all day!
    It stresses me out!
Hang tough. Keep focusing on your goals, and successes, including all these times you said no!

  5. I know how you felt with the pizza and donut holes. I was like seriously. I have started to look at that type of junk and associate it with biting into a big juicy lemon.
