It was close!

What a weekend!

My 16 year old celebrated his 16th birthday with his friends. I caught myself. I ALMOST licked the frosting off of my fingers when I set out the donuts for them to enjoy. ALMOST. It was close! It is a habit - I. need. to. change.

Saturday I walked with my teenager and just talked and most importantly listened. Then my friend wanted to go fishing. It was a terrible day for fishing if you wanted to catch one LOL! Water was too hot! I caught a little bitty fish - the only catch of the day mind you - and we decided to walk Hurshtown reservoir. Tack up another 2.2 miles :)

Sunday I was baking all day and caught myself again! It seemed like such a waste to rinse off my hands but I know that new habits must be established! The kids did enjoy taking care of the crumbs for me out of the pan though lol.

While baking - I needed eggs. Of course I ran out of eggs!  So why drive down the street - I decided to walk to town to buy my eggs. That is how they did it in the old days LOL!

What a great weekend!

  1. It's probably okay to "like" the frosting, just don't lick it without recording it in your app! :)

  5. It is interesting how many decisions you have to make through the day that either help you on your way or hold you back. Great to see you noticing them and dealing with them positively.
