Injury

So after the first two days of working out I was having a pain on the outside of my leg. As mentioned before I figured it was probably just shin splints. While walking with Edna this morning I was talking to her about it and recommend I mention something to EJ or Rick and Tina about it. EJ used something that looked like a rolling pin on my leg to see if it would help relieve the soreness and tightness that I was experiencing. Unfortunately the pain did not subside so he recommended that I move over to the bikes. Great, I won't lose as much while riding a bike.

I was so wrong about the bike. I rode that bike for about an hour and did 7.42 miles. I was feeling the burn and the sweat. I am pretty confident I will lose weight on the bike. Andreas looked over my leg and had me walk a little and pushed on my leg a little bit. He was concerned that it was either a shin splint or a possible stress fracture. I will be on the bike until I am able to walk without having pain in my legs. That is my next journey and will work on building the strength up so I can continue with the group. I know there is no shame in being on the bike. I am going to work hard and show that bike I mean business.

  4. Adam, I was looking for you today and can tell you with certainty that many noticed you were not present with the rest of the group. While pain sucks and your journey may take a modified path, rest assured that the result will still come. As I firmly ascribe to and will echo the advice of our leaders, trust the process! See you soon!
