Back To School

Last night was "Back To School" night for parents of students at Carroll High School.  We have two boys at Carroll--one is a senior and the other is a freshman so my wife and I decided to "divide and conquer".  She went to the classes of the freshman and I went to the classes of the senior.  We were running a little late and were going to get there just in time.  Naturally, my first class was on the second floor at the far end of the building.  I made the fast walk in, up the stairs, and down the hall without being tired or winded.  I guess that Tina's party trains up and down the stairs have a practical application after all.  Later I had to make the mad dash from the far end of the second floor to a room on the far side of the building in the freshman campus.  Again, no problem.

The second victory of the night was that they provided chocolate chip cookies for the parents and I had none.  It never seems to get easier passing up "free" food but in the end it will be worth it.

  2. That is awesome that you were able to move around the school like that. Awesome that you bypassed on the cookie as well. Thanks for the inspiration. We had back to school at our sons school on Tuesday and they were giving out ice cream sundaes to everyone. I will admit they looked tempting but I passed as well, so did my wife. Our two kids decided to split a bowl between themselves. Granted I would have preferred if they had none, but it is a step in the right direction. Keep up the work.
