I need some new lunch ideas. Anyone have something absolutely fabulous you would like to share with the rest of us???? Please???

There are days I REALLY don't want to chew salad :D

Thanks in advance for helping me out!

  1. I'll get my husband's recipe for stuffed peppers if that's something you would be interested in.

  2. As I usually forget my lunch, I mostly rely on the kitchen. Though there aren't many healthy things there to choose from, the Tyson chicken breasts that are in the fridge are the bomb!! Sometimes I have swiss cheese on top, which is also in the fridge. However, you don't even need something to go on the chicken, it's that delicious!! I've been having bell peppers from the salad bar to go with it (or any other veggies from the salad bar, of course). Or there are little cans of veggies on the shelf (a bit on the high side for sodium). Also, I've been making turkey burgers at home and pouring on the Mrs. Dash Original Blend Seasoning Blend Salt Free - tastes AMAZING. No bread, ketchup or mustard. Just the turkey burger with the seasoning, and I have 1/2 cup of mixed veggies or some veggies from the garden with it. Also, we have a salmon patty recipe that I think is also delicious, and I HATE FISH!! Ping me at work and I'll get it to you if you want it. Hope this helps!

  3. I have two standard lunches that I never get tired of. 3 slices of turkey on one slice of bread with one slice of swiss and Grey Poupon. A serving of baby carrots and/or green pepper with a serving of hummus. And the fruit of your choice. The other is yogurt with Grapenuts and blueberries, raspberries or banana. Or two pizzas and a bag of Doritos like Derek. ;D

  4. I usually will grab a can of tuna off the shelf, mix in some siracha and a pack of mayonnaise or miracle whip, 2 packs of relish and just eat that.

This is my standard lunch, I will also eat a can of green beans off the shelf.

  5. Chicken, Italian dressing (watch the sodium), white beans (again rinse them and get the low sodium kind), cooked kale, feta cheese. It's really good!

  7. I'm a big fan of meal prepping. I (by this I mean my wife) will prepare something over the weekend and then portion it out for the week. My go to is meat sauce like to put on pasta. Instead of pasta I eat it over cauliflower or broccoli. You can buy the frozen bags of cauliflower that steam right in the bag in the microwave. I'll eat a whole bag of that stuff with 1/2 cup of sauce on it. It's amazing I prefer it that way than with noodles.

    1. That sounds pretty good. I think I will try that next week.

  8. My go to lunch is ground turkey with sautéed peppers and onions in a whole wheat pita or tortilla, sometimes I will add a little bit of shredded cheese. Also, when prepping meals for the week I will make enough to have left overs to take for lunch the next day.
