Glutton for Punishment

This morning I entered the dungeon still sore from yesterday.  Why, oh why do I insist on doing this to myself.  I could have ridden the bum numb for 40 minutes.  No, that is a bad idea as well I am sure my gluteus maximus thanks me for it.  I grab my little yellow ball that is about the size of a 21" tire.  Start doing my warmup stretches and move over to the squats with weights.

I do my roll outs then the lower ab crunches with my special little ball who I like to call squishy.  Paula decides to join me in the dungeon to help keep me motivated and to workout as well.  For some reason I start to chuckle to myself internally.  These workouts work your muscles pretty well.  I was also thinking that since she is an alumni it will probably be pretty easy for her.

She joined me on the crunches and I think she will attest to it that these workouts are tough.  But being Paula she smiled the entire time and worked through them.  Jeanie even ended up joining us back there and was having Andreas tell her to keep lifting her hips higher.  Sometimes I don't know if my hips can go higher but I try and they do ever so little but it is more.

I get to work and climb out of my car grab my laptop bag and realized that I left my badge sitting in the center console.  Pretty sure this is when you know you are sore.  I was tempted to leave my badge there and get a temporary badge for the day instead.  I didn't want to bend over and grab it, my legs and abs were on fire.  So what did I do?  I ended up getting my badge.

Here comes the glutton for punishment portion.  I am going to get up tomorrow morning and do it all over again.  Why?  I like being sore and sweaty.  It is giving me a healthier life and that is what matters.

Who wants to join me tomorrow?  It will be fun, I guarantee it.

I WILL NOT BE GOING TO THE GYM IN THE MORNING.  I AM GETTING A HEAD COLD AND WELL IT IS NOT FUN RIGHT NOW.

CORRECTION. I WILL BE GOING TO WORK OUT.  A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME THAT WORKING OUT CAN BE A GOOD ANTI-HISTAMINE.  SO WE WILL SEE.  HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU TOMORROW.

I WILL BE THERE @ 7 MAYBE 7:10.

  6. Dear Adam,
Yes, even as an alumni, my muscles were sore doing those moves! I was impressed on how well you did it and I could barely balance my feet on the ball! I want to do it again and was going to join you in the morning.
You know ... working out/the sweating is a natural antihistamine! Just something to think about!
