Orientation & 1st BMSW Workout

Last night was orientation. We met the amazing people who will work with us, and we went over things we need to know. If you know me at all, you know I was overwhelmed. One phrase I heard that I had to write down was: "A rubber band is useless unless you stretch it." Well, I am putting myself to good use. I am already being stretched in more ways than I imagined, and it's only the first day!
I was excited to wake up this morning, get my new clothes and shoes on, and start my family's and my new life. Apparently my 2 1/2 year old daughter was excited, too, because she woke me up at 3:30 a.m.! Once at the gym, we started walking the basketball court with alumni. I cannot explain how encouraging it was to have others beside me who've been through what I will go through, and who want to go through it all again. I'm so thankful for this opportunity!

  1. Those Alumni KNOW what a great life change this is and want to be there for your support! They know the first days are scary, but it will all be great!
