Yesterday EJ told us that we could break up our cardio today anyway that we wanted. So, I got this wild idea (I was probably oxygen deprived from my first 10 flights of stairs) to do 3 minutes on Jacob's Ladder, even though no sane individual would consider it. Well I tried it and actually did it, with only one pause just after the half way point. I'm not going to let that infernal machine get the better of me! Maybe I might actually be able to get up to 4 or maybe 5 minutes? If it doesn't kill you, it only makes you stronger (but it COULD kill you).
How about you? Did you try it? We only have six weeks left. That's six weeks of opportunity to get stronger and increase our endurance. What's the worst that could happen if you do? What's the worst that could happen if you don't?
Great post Dave. I'm proud of you for pushing thru on the Ladder of Death. I bet your knees will be talking to you while you mow the yard today.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Dave. I look at the workouts that you guys are doing and would like to do them. I hope my leg heals up in time for it.
ReplyDeleteProud of you! I told Frank you made A BEAST choice doing Jacob right after stairs.
ReplyDeleteYour name was being whispered through the halls of the Hood today. I heard about your episode and was IN AWE! Can you believe it was only a couple of weeks ago that you were mad at me for challenging you to do 20 minutes non-stop on the elliptical and you go and do 3 minutes of Jacob! I mean seriously...WHO are you? You're my superhero Dave!
ReplyDeleteBEAST!
ReplyDeleteI'm in AWE!
