Legs...

As soon as I start to think these workouts can’t get any more intense, EJ kicks it up a notch and I get lucky enough to spend some time with Jacob and the StairMaster (or whatever it’s called). Just when I think it’s over, we have to do wall sits. If it weren’t for Rich talking about puppies and distracting me from my shaking jello legs, I probably would have collapsed.

I’m not sure about everyone else but these last few weeks have seemed a little harder than usual, I am becoming less motivated. Not with working out but with meal planning, logging my food etc. I think because we’ve reached the halfway point that I’ve started to get complacent and I certainly don’t like it! Rick’s words of wisdom really hit home and gave me the “push” I needed....At the end of the program I want to look back and know that I gave my all and not look back and wish that I done more or tried harder. Here’s to finishing strong!

  1. I agree that they are making the workouts tougher but it doesn't seem like anything that we can't handle. When E.J. said that our plank would be just over a minute I thought "Oh Lord, help me." I can do a minute but not much more. I hung in there and did it.

When you think about the REALLY tough stuff that you have done like planks, wall sits, and Jacob's Ladder, logging is a piece of cake (if you'll pardon the reference). I don't know about you but I seem to be building a menu of foods that I eat on a routine basis so picking them off a list is as easy as pie (Dohh!!!).

This is end of week 7! Just 5 weeks to go!!! Hang in there. You've got this!!!

  2. Great blog! I love the pic of the jello shirt!
Yes, it is hard to keep the motivation up on the food logging, planning and packing!
But that time investment pays off big time!! Keep fighting the fight strong and remembering what Rick said.

  3. Ashley, you are making such remarkable progress and I enjoy reading your posts. The "Lean on me" song is now playing in my head because you seem to have tapped into the reality that life is better together, and thank goodness we have such an outstanding group of people surrounding us throughout this program - both to encourage and support, and to receive the same from. From this man's perspective, I do not see jello, but only a rock solid form that inspires and conquers. I look forward to the day when I look up to see your name on the theater marque':

"Ashley Rader takes on Tomb Raider"

    Keep movin'!
